I've got some really great friends who do some really great cosplay work.
This recent creation depicts the dark adventures of Sally Face. Check these highlights from our shoot and be sure to check out these artists' instagram pages for more cool characters they've portrayed. It's always a fun challenge to find a location that might fit a certain character, especially one that comes from a world different from our own. Comic books, cartoons, video games, etc. It makes it that much more fun to put the shoot together and get the models into character. I recently had the pleasure of working with three very talented cosplay artists. It can be an enjoyable challenge finding locations that suit whatever characters my models represent. The characters portrayed here are from The Evil Within, A third-person survival horror game, developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. It's hard to make these artists look bad, but a typical flowery portrait location could certainly make them look very out of place. For the dark and gritty vibe of this game-world, we took to the streets of downtown Portland. Check these artists out on Instagram! Disclaimer: This week's blog entry contains images that are more edgy than the family portraits I usually post. If you do not wish to see fake blood/scar makeup and a villainous situation, carry on and have a lovely day. It gives me great pleasure to start the year off by presenting this shoot. As I enjoy diversifying my portfolio, I've always taken a great interest in cosplay photography and love presenting characters in a suitable environment. If you're at all familiar with the game Outlast, you know an abandoned church, in northern Oregon, on a chilling winter evening was the perfect environment.
I teamed up with the amazing cosplay duo, Jack and Marco. The two do fantastic work on their own and colaborate like a dream. Marco portrayed Waylon Park and Jack portrayed Eddie Gluskin, who "ruthlessly pursued" Waylon. Follow them on Instagram: Marco- @camccco Jack- @jelly_bat |
