Happy December 1st! I'm sure you're all excited for Christmas and the whole festive month leading up to it! Allow me to give you one present a bit early. You may have gathered by now that I enjoy taking pictures of dogs, people with their dogs, etc. And if not, well FYI: I love taking pictures of dogs!
This little guy got a photo shoot in celebration of his addition to this happy little family. His new Mama and Papa are absolutely smitten with those big blue eyes, puppy breath, and snuggly fluffiness. So am I! I had so much fun capturing memories of his petite size while lasts. They grow quick, so be sure to get some quality time with your loved ones this holiday season. Enjoy these highlights (there's a lot), and have a magical December!

I totally missed blogging last week and here's why! I was surrounded by my wonderful family, having such a fun and busy time. My sister and her husband came up to visit from out of state. Also visiting from another state, were my brother, his wife, and two of their kids. They joined my local, immediate family in exploring, eating lots of yummy food, and celebrating a birthday! Along the way, I rounded everyone up for a photo. I was able to take photos of some of the smaller family groups before it started to rain and we headed out for a delicious cake, specially ordered from Tany's Bakery. After our big family photo, one of my sisters gave us some very exciting news, which I had the privilage of documenting and helping them announce to the world yesterday! I'm so excired to be an auntie again! Congrats!
It gives me great pleasure to present this family session I did just before Christmas!
A very sweet couple I got to work with recently showed their portraits to family and just had to get some more done. When their parents requested I do portraits with them, their daughters, their daughter's husbands, and children, I admit I was a little nervouse as I added the number of bodies together. However, this beautiful family was an absolute dream to work with. When the arranged day arrived, the weather was unkind and brought us wind and rain, but there was a bright and happy energy as we all jumped around one of the patios at Edgfield, in efforts to grab the attention of four little ones. Wishing you all a happy 2019 as we breeze through February, please enjoy highlights from my lest sessionn of 2018. It's been a bit since my last post! How is everyone? I've been working hard at a new job to help keep my prices low for my wonderful clients. I recently had the honor of taking portraits with one of the sweetest little familys! Our timing was perfect, if I do say so myself. Their precious little bundle of joy graced the world with her presence exactly one week after our session! Enjoy these highlights of the proud parents and new big brother. Congratulations and thank you for choosing Beka Nichele Photography!
Book your portraits now, while family sessions are $25 off! The week before last, I shared a throwback of some portraits I got to take of my sister's growing little family. In those photos, she was sporting an adorable baby bump. Guess who just turned one? Sweet little Joseph got his own photo shoot to celebrate his first trip around the sun and boy did he rock it! Have I told you how much he loves the camera? You can see his first feature on the blog in "A Baby and his Pumpkins", in which he was just seven months old.
Being such a super, little dude, he and his parents dressed for the occasion! Joseph wore his favorite beanie from Bombay Crochet and a shiny red cape! (a rectangle of fabric from Joann's) Enjoy these highlights from our super shoot! The sun does still exist and it graced us with its presence during a recent (and very adorable) portrait session. I was recently honored with photographing this little cutie to celebrate his first year! He was a joy to work with and very talkative. Here are some highlights from his session. Happy Birthday little dude! The newborn portrait being held is the work of another talented photographer.
Special thanks to my friend Heather for the recommendation. It's been a minute since I last blogged. Let me make it up to you with this adorable throwback!
This week, my sweet little nephew will be celebrating his first birthday (which I am very excited to share with you soon). Before he was born, I had the honor of photographing his parents as they showed off their cute baby bump. Congrats to these two on their first year as fantastic parents, and congrats to the little guy on handling life with such joy thus far! <3 Wrapping up the first week of 2018 by looking back on a wonderful visit I had with my big brother and his family. They live a little farther north than me, so there was beautiful, fluffy snow for us to play in. Since it was December when we visited, we also made lots of gingerbread houses! They were delicious. Here are some photos of the fun we had. Be sure to have fun and make some beautiful memories this year! See you next week!
Autumn is in full swing and it is beautiful! The leaves have changed, the rain is here, and so is the beloved pumpkin spice latte (for those that enjoy sweet coffee beverages). Among the various pumpkin flavored things that can surface this time of year, social media is flooded with pictures of actual pumpkins as well. To celebrate the yearly phenomenon, I decided to take some portraits at a pumpkin patch. Modeling, was my 7 month old nephew, accompanied by his mother. They were sporting some adorable fall fashions, including a hand crocheted beanie by Bombay Crochet! Enjoy these highlights from our little adventure and prepare for a cuteness overload. Book a shoot to get photos like this with your little munchkin!
